Review of The Proposition (2005) by L'enfantalaplume F — 09 Apr 2011
The proposition is A good western taking place in Australia where a man of law decides to turn the members of a famous gang one against another by using their feelings.
One thing to see is the realization which is really good with a noticed beautiful cinematography .Also The screenplay as well as the story is well made written and acted. The all imagery of western is beautifully represented.
In general this western doesn't bring anything new to the genre but it succeed with a story and new environment which create a really captivating environment. The violence and the human interrogation on the meaning of life are well shown particularly with the theme of love and penalty.Furthermore real fan of poetry or else will appreciate the few verse recited at some point in the movie as a possible definition of life.
Anyway overall the proposition is a very good movie with some good action, story and acting without the slow time which sometimes describes the western genre viewers and particularly western fane will surely enjoy watching it.
