The Proposal is a fun comedy, and that's all it is. It's biggest problem is that it is very predictable. We've seen this all before. Also, the script is a bit weak and there are a few silly moments that the movie could've done without.
That being said, there are some laughs and the chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock is what ultimately holds the movie together. 60%.
