Review of The Prophecy (1995) by Marcello M — 28 Jun 2008
A man who's supposed to be a priest becomes a cop after witnessing visions of blood stained angels. He gets to thinking, "if angels are God's army, then they are supposed to have their wings smeared in blood".
He becomes a cop then. But he's drawn back to his faith as he investigates a series of strange murders of strange people. On the other hand, achangel Gabriel walks around the USA hunting down the soul of a very powerful american general who fought in Vietnam.
Only Gabriel is not there under God's command: Gabriel has rebelled against his Maker, and with him many angels followed, now they are waging war against Heaven, no souls can enter Heaven untill this war ends, instead they either go to Hell or remain bound in the human world.
Gabriel will be led to cross the line as he fights off God's true angels whom are trying to keep him from reaching the general's soul, and soon he'll cross the line of the cop Tommy Dagget as well.
What no one has realized yet, is the intensity of a third party watching all the events. Lucifer has his eyes focused on every trun of events, because no matter what happens, not even the prince of darkness can allow Gabriel to win this war.
