Review of The Promotion (2008) by Giffy G — 24 Apr 2009
The movie somehow failed to live up to my expectations, and my expectations were low. All I wanted was a harmless movie that had a few laughs and maybe one or two memorable scenes. Nope. The running gags were poorly timed, the performances were one note, and the ending was almost unsupported by the rest of the movie, especially the sudden and weird switch from talking about "being successful" to "being men.
" I guess the scriptwriter thought that the only way to be a man was to be successful financially, but I digress. There were a few laughs, but none of the scenes were particularly memorable. In fact, I saw this movie less than a month ago, and I almost forgot I'd seen it at all.
