The Promise keeps its word. It's well acted, an interesting story that holds your interest with superb directing and anperfectly accurate historical background and geographic setting. I was beyond impressed with the details, add to that a fascinating story line, with a strong and superb cast, including a guest spot with Jean Remo.
I loved it and so did the 3 people with me.
