Review of The Promise (2017) by Kimberly R — 24 Apr 2017
Gorgeous scenery, the will to survive, a love triangle. This movie has it all. It is about surviving the first Genocide of the 20th century in a time when social media and the internet did not exist. It is raw emotion dealing with death, injustice, and tragedy.
Yes, there is a love triangle and it does not "emerge" as some put it. This is life during a Genocide when you're fighting for your life... everything is put "on hold" - education, love, family.
.. If you want a love story, rent Romeo and Juliet.
