Review of The Promise (2017) by Hacob K — 29 Apr 2017
Critics labeled this movie as "Armenian Genocide " move and then they criticized it that the love story was too distracting. You just can't win.
This was a great movie. The love story and the dark history unfolding in the background were very balanced and it laid just the right groundwork for a good entertainment while at the same time educate viewers about the horrors that took place 100 years ago and yet shamefully it has not been recognized by those perpetrated and others who cover up for the criminals.
Everyone should go and see this movie and encourage everyone they know to do the same.
It is only through this awareness and that we can recognize other genocides and stop them before they start.
