This is an incredible historical epic. Don't listen to any reviewers that claim that the incredible cast in The Promise about a love triangle that takes place during the Armenian Genocide fails to engage.

And don't listen to audiences who have put negative reviews on this site because they want to dissuade people from watching this movie because they want to deny that the Armenian Genocide took place.

This historical epic works on all levels. Firstly, the whole cast gives incredible performances. Secondly, the love triangle feels incredibly real and you feel all of their emotions. And lastly, it was an excellent historically accurate portrayal of the tragedy that happened during the Armenian Genocide and hopefully it will educate those who didn't know what happened so that they can experience the tragedy that generations of Armenians have lived through.
