Review of The Promise (2017) by Sacconik — 23 Apr 2017
The love triangle does take away from the story line which should have focused more on the events and the brutality of the first Genocide of the 20th century. With that said, most critics seem super harsh.
It makes one wonder if the Turkish denial cash machine has reached the pockets of Hollywood reporters and critics. There is no way that this movie deserves anything less than a movie about cars. Also, it seems like the critics have to dumb themselves down to appeal to the fast and the fruitless masses.
It's a total shame that this movie ranks lower than a movie about cars. All the critics and most movie goers should be ashamed of themselves. Tragedy. Definitely worth watching.
