Review of The Promise (2016) by Alan A — 30 Apr 2017
A very moving love story, entwined with some authentic and very tragic and emotional historical events. This movie takes place in other parts of the world in other times, but provides a very necessary historical lesson, that should not be overlooked.
As to authenticity, I have several immediate family members that were driven from their homes and businesses and were either killed or seriously injured during the genocide.
