Review of The Program (1993) by Alexander C — 14 Aug 2007
One of the best football movies ever made. Director David S. Ward who directed Major League takes his shot at the inside look of college football! From steroids to the pressure to win. It's realism and James Caan's performance keeps its stride to the end zone.
The best thing of this movie shows two great backstories. A rookie's hard time to become academically eligible and the pressure to win the Heisman Trophy and head to a bowl game put on quarterback Joe Kane.
It's exciting, hard to watch at times, and realistic. As Kane says let's put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner, boys! Pop this in the DVD player and you'll know how real this is.
