Mel Brooks writes and directs a comedy film classic in 1968 then turns it into the biggest Broadway Musical since A Chorus Line by teaming up Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane in the roles played by now legends Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel.
Can he possibly make this into a movie to top its pedigree? Well, if you add Uma Thurman as the Swedish secretary, Will Ferrell as the Nazi playwright and bring back Roger Bart and Gary Beach as the director and his assistant and what you get might not be all it could have been, but above all.
