Review of The Producers (1968) by Elysian M — 22 May 2011
Everything I have read about The Producers has made me want to like the film, even the things I read after watching it. Bits of it were very funny (for instance the scenes with Bialystock, Bloom, de Bris and Ghia) but mostly I felt that I had had a sense of humour failure and that the 'over the top'-ness of it all was a mess.
