Review of The Producers (1968) by Charlie S — 13 Jul 2012
Mel Brooks truly is a fantastic filmmaker. It's amazing how well The Producers has held up over time. There are some gags that play more to the slapstick comedy of the 60's, but most of it, especially Springtime for Hitler, is still largely compatible with today's humor.
It's an incredibly hilarious film with fantastic performances and a story that only Mel Brooks could write.
