Film adaptation of the book of the same title. The characters in this film are flat, one dimensional. Several annoying story telling gimmicks are used that actually detract from the unfolding of the tale of a 50's housewife with 10 kids who keeps the household together (and her sanity) by entering writing contests.
Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson effortlessly deliver solid performances.
