This movie ruined a great story and premise with a rotten screenplay. The only thing that got me through it was the attractive period design and photography. Harrelson's performance is so bad it's laughable though, admittedly, he wasn't given much to work with.
And the kids are characterless, both in the writing and acting departments. Poor Julianne Moore had to carry this one all by herself.
