Review of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009) by Daniella Z — 27 Apr 2010
Like Pippa Lee herself, this movie still remains quite enigmatic to me. I really enjoyed it and at the same time I didnt in some odd way...
The entire cast is wonderful and a suprisingly excellent performance from Reeves who doesn't mumble his way through and Wright is fabulous to watch. I even enjoyed Lively playing young Pippa Lee.
The story is great and I felt an odd connection with Pippa Lee which I'm sure isn't very healthy but most likely most females issue. The flashbacks to her childhood were beautifully lush and her mother a lunatic; humorus yet touching. Even though I wasn't suprised by the path the story took I enjoyed the journey of the honest look behind the curtains of female perfection.
