Review of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009) by Keith W — 25 Sep 2010
An interesting story about a middle aged woman who realizing she isn't happy being the wife of a man 30 years her senior, living in a boring retirement community, looks back on her life and the choices she made.
I really connected with the character of Pippa. This wasn't Robin Wright Penn's best performance but I still can't help but love her. And then there is Blake Lively who I just love to look at. She is so stunningly beautiful.
The story was well written, witty and at times shockingly funny. It's not a fast paced movie or full of intrigue but it is an interesting look at the events of Pippa's life that made her into the woman she was. She ran from her past only to find that she had become someone she didn't like because of that.
