Definitely not a perfect film, and I'm not entirely sure that some of the funny bits were humorous on purpose, but Robin Wright Penn makes this movie completely worth seeing. I only saw this because every time I call Keanu Reeves a hack but admit that I like him anyway, one of my fellow bad-actor-lovers comes out of the woodwork to tell me about the movie that proves Reeves can act outside the sci-fi genre.
To me, this only proves that Keanu Reeves makes excellent set dressing. His character's ridiculous tattoo had more depth of character. But who cares? The movie has nothing to do with his character anyway, really.
It's all about Pippa and the beautiful, talented actress who plays her.
