Review of The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009) by Zehra P — 22 Oct 2009
Finely acted, offbeat drama about a 50 year old woman married to a much older man, who moves with him into a retirement community and begins to reflect on the changes in her life that brought her to this moment.
Always one to cover the sadness inside with an upbeat, carefree exterior, Pippa soon finds herself unraveling and in need of a new direction. Works for a while, mostly thanks to the cast, but resorts to a pat and trite finale.
