Review of The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970) by Leena R — 26 May 2008
A great, unique cinematic look at the Holmes mythos... Nowhere else (besides maybe a television movie) can you see a fully realized take on the character that treats him as a person with flaws and his own way unique way of doing things.
.. The story doesnt seem too contrived, and is both a modernization of ways and a throwback to the Victorian age... Good stuff all around...
