Review of The Princess Twins of Legendale (2013) by Hailey W — 12 Apr 2015
And you won't believe this, she's looks exactly like you!
Two worlds exist in this magical picture, one of light and one of night. The worlds were divided by an evil sorceress that wanted to marry the king of the light. She then stole one of the King's children without his knowing and escaped to the land of the dark. As the sister of light, Dawn, grows older, she becomes curious about the world beyond the kingdom. She embarks on an adventure that may reunite her with her sister.
"She saved me from those horrible day creatures when I was just a baby.".
Three directors collaborate to deliver this movie. The storyline for this film is fairly interesting and contains interesting and well imagined characters and creatures. The settings were cool and the animation was unique (but just above average). The voices fit the characters well.
"What do you mean, Night World?".
I came across this film on Netflix and decided to add it to the queue hoping it would be like The Swan Princess. My daughter and I watched this picture and found it about average. My daughter actually loved this film and I felt it was just okay, and on par with Swan Princess as I had hoped. Overall, this is worth watching with your child but may not be worth adding to your DVD collection.
"All we need is each other and we'll be okay.".
Grade: C+.
