Review of The Princess Switch (2018) by T J — 20 Dec 2018
1 hour and 41 minutes of my life I will never be able to get back. The acting and plot line in this movie was so atrocious that it made me physically nauseated. The only thing I'm sure of after watching this movie is that Vanessa Hudgens has never, in her 30 years on this earth, heard an English accent.
Her fake accent was so poorly done that listening to it gave me second hand embarrassment. The only thing that got me through this movie is the hope that, maybe, the ending would at least be ok.... but as it turns out, the ending of this movie was possibly the worst story ending in cinematic history.
The ending was more basic than I am, and I go weekly to Starbucks in Ugg boots and order the holiday-special drinks. To summarize, watching this movie is like waiting for my mom in the car while she's in the grocery store after she said she'd only be a "couple minutes" - nauseatingly boring and ultimately disappointing because she didn't buy anything but vegetables.
If you hate yourself and enjoy self-torture, you might like this movie.
