Anne Hathaway is so pretty and lovable. Average movie, enjoyable enough. She is now graduated and going back to Genovia to take over the throne as queen from Julie Andrews. On her 21st birthday party, she met and dance with a dashing guy Chris Pine.
In the meeting, John Rhys-Davies found a rightful heir to the throne and mention Anne can't be queen unless she is married. Now she has to do so within 30 days. They browse through and found a suitable guy Callum Blue.
Chris turns out to be the guy also vying for the throne. Julie invited John and Chris to stay over. Over a few days, Anne and Callum sets to settle down. But Chris is instructed by John to make the plan fails by making Anne fall for him.
They had some moments together and builds on it. During the parade, Anne stop it halfway when she saw some boys bullying a little girl. She goes over to comfort her and ask all the orphans to wear tiara and walk the parade with her.
This impress Chris and he thinks she can rule the country well. Anne set up a home for the orphans near the palace. Hector Elizondo will be retiring and ask Julie about their future together but she is un sure.
Chris give up the chase for the throne and likes Anne. One night, she sneak out and spent the night outside with him. The whole thing is caught on camera, inform by John. Anne thought its plan by Chris and hates him.
Callum and Anne simply have no sparks between them but decided to go through the marriage. On the wedding day, Anne backs out and Callum is just as relieve. She propose the law that woman should be married to be queen abolished but John raise the hoo-ha.
Chris got to know about the plan by John and went over to support Anne. The members in parliament agree with her proposal. Julie and Hector ended up the ones getting married that day. Anne is officially the queen of Genovia.
Chris came over to express his love for her and its a happy ending.
