Review of The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004) by Kaylee H — 02 Jul 2010
Like all Disney-produced, Garry Marshall directed schmaltz fests, this movie has zero intrigue and scant laughs. Unline the original which I found adorable just because when I first saw it I had never heard of Anne Hathaway before.
That introduction has been worth something to me at least. Anne only returned for the sequel for the payday and to further her career long enough so she could actually land a credible role. And yes, that's Chris Pine (aka young Kirk) getting his career off and running as well.
And what rock has Tom Poston been hiding under. I thought he was dead.
