A wonderful swashbuckling adventure packed full of action, intelligent humor and fairy tale romance, one that affirms the conventions of the damsel-in-distress story while at the same time offering fresh, tongue in cheek fantasy fun.
All in all The Princess Bride is that rare movie that has something for everybody, and balances it all perfectly.
