Review of The Princess Bride (1987) by Brendan N — 02 Dec 2018
The Princess Bride is a film created for the pop culture generation. This film is an example on how to create a fresh story against a concept that Disney has stepped firmly into the ground. The film is quite self aware and Reiner never takes the easy way out.
The strong cast are provided considerable character development and a clever script. I introduced this to a friend on this viewing, with the memory of the film lingering in my memory and I'm happy to say this is one film that holds up for new generations.
A cult classic and one film that should be proudly displayed on your shelf at home. 03/12/2018.
