Typical of Grimm Fairy Tales this movie comes across to me as ANTISEMITIC, PRO-GERMAN, ETHNOCENTRIC . . . it SUCKS!
(sure, its a spoof of Grimm's Fairy Tales but I found it offensive).
On E! ENTERTAINMENT television and on WHOOPIE (The Whoopie Goldberg Show), Rob Reiner admitted to IGNORING MINORITIES is his films.
So, I am upset at this film and I feel totally excluded as an audience member.
The non-Germanic peoples are cast as bad-guys.
I don't identify with any of the characters or plots of this movie.
Why the heck do people love this awful movie so darn much is beyond me.
Some good writing by Bill Goldman but not much else.
Its like the movie top secret in the sense that everyone around me is laughing their heads off except me.
