Review of The Princess and the Frog (2009) by Rachel S — 14 Aug 2011
Disney proves that it still can produce decent films. The premise is the same as every other Disney film, boy meets girl and they fall in love. Most of the film manages to show some originality, while still following the typical Disney formula.
The setting and songs are diffrent from other disney films, taking place in New Orleans and having some jazz style songs. The visuals looked nice and the voice acting was enjoyable. The story has some interesting elements, that make it stand out from most Disney films.
The characters, especially Dr. Facilier, were fun and interesting. Overall, this is a film that Disney can be proud of.
