I enjoyed the music in this film. It was all very upbeat and fun, even the Shadow Man's songs. However, it does get a bit dark from time to time. For example, all the voodoo stuff with the Shadow Man can be somewhat frightening.
I think that especially when the voodoo spirits kill the Shadow Man, it is freaky. Just don't mess with the wrong crowd I guess. But, overall I liked this film because Tiana isn't the average Disney princess.
She is hard working, and at the end, after Tiana and Naveen get married, there is a scene where they are actually doing something. It is happily ever after, but it shows them getting the restaurant and working to get it open.
