Review of The Princess and the Frog (2009) by Jack B — 27 Aug 2012
In parts it may be business as usual but the hand-drawn animation and emotional depth make this a modern day Disney fable that is easily enjoyed. Embracing Jazz and perhaps more racially relevant than any Disney film before it, not to mention boasting a great villain, this may be traditional but it has tangents of freshness that make it enduring and mostly a joy for all ages.
Lovely in more ways than one, the teary and somewhat surprising pre-ending is astonishing.
