Review of The Princess and the Frog (2009) by Jennifer R — 01 Aug 2013

Set in New Orleans, the film is about a young hardworking waitress who dreams of owning her own restaurant. Unlike a damsel in distress, this young women realizes that you must take charge of your own life and work hard in order for your dreams to come true.

It's a warm, lively, and traditional Disney film. I loved that it emphasized that one must work hard for their wishes to come true and not simply wish on a shooting star. I also liked that the film weighed having success and love to be equally important.
