Review of The Prince of Egypt (1998) by Aaron G — 10 Mar 2012
This movie is breathtaking from the animation to the songs you feel like you are in egypt, I have never read exodus in the bible but I know of the story from other media and church and I loved how they portrayed it so good, the thing this movie succeeds in but I also find some problems with it is the relationship between Moses and Ramses, that is one of the aspects that make this film a delight in that aspect, sometimes in stories about brothers or sisters relating its usaully them arguing or calling eachother names and ect.
but this is not a case, after the fantastic song in the beginning we're instantly introduced that these two are the best of friends and never put eachother down. but my only problem with this is that Moses and Ramses are pretty much the only charicters who know that there brothers which is the aspect that I have the problem with.
Like in the burning bush scene ( which is a great scene by the way) God says nothing about how to keep his heart with his brother when he goes back and frees all the slaves. I mean if your going to make a movie about two brothers that relate in the begining of the movie and eventually have to become enemies in the end you should have the more than just two people that know there brothers but overall truelly great film.
