The story of Lou Gehrig is known by mostly everyone. But this movie tells it in such unique fashion. Gary Cooper stars in what might be the strongest single acting performance I've ever seen. Legend portraying legend.
This came out in 1943 and remains rivetting. It's a sports-flick, a chick-flick and a human-interest flick. Movie making and story telling at its finest.
