Review of The Pride of the Yankees (1942) by Z P — 29 Jun 2007
Once you get over the fact that Gary Cooper is playing a much younger character, you'll find this movie to be a very touching rendition of a truly extraordinary life. Well acted by both Cooper and Wright, this film will bring you to tears.
A sweet aside, when Teresa Wright died in 2005, her name was read out along with the rest of the roster at a Yankees game.
