Review of The Prestige (2006) by Isaac H — 24 Mar 2013
Dark, mind-bending and ambitious, The Prestige doesn't come without a few small plot holes, but it's nonetheless an incredibly entertaining cinematic experience backed by Christopher Nolan's sure-handed direction that serves as an intriguing precursor to the director's later work, Inception; it's one of those rare films that assumes its audience is smart -- and you'll have to do some thinking if you wish to understand The Prestige's finer points.
As a result, The Prestige is quite difficult to stop thinking about, even long after the credits have rolled.
