Review of The Prestige (2006) by Ted W — 25 Nov 2014

Firstly, for me the marketing of this was all wrong. I've only for instance just found out it is a Nolan brothers film, and although the plot needs protecting, the trailers could have worked harder to communicate the usual clever Nolan "layers".

However here, I personally found them predictable. The illusions and bluffing causing doubt with the visible plot from quite early on. Although everything is nearly tied up at the end too, I couldn't help be disappointed that there was nothing new to discover.
