Review of The Predator (2018) by Leo K — 29 Oct 2018
After a string of absolutely awful Alien vs. Predator movies in the past decade, it's finally a relief to get a good Predator movie.
Somehow this film adds some pretty good humor to the mix, along with not taking itself TOO seriously.
There is a relatively quick buildup into revealing the predator, which was cool as well, avoiding the child-like 'hide and seek' of most previous Predator films.
Furthermore, the a-moral black dude was awesome. I really enjoyed his not-giving a fuck, complete the mission style character.
There were a few downsides though, as the film suffers from a overblown ending that is filled with logical plot holes, and simply rediculous macho-ism.
Overall a fun movie, and I'm looking forward to atleast improving on the formula, and avoiding nonsensical plot twists.
