Review of The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) by Anders M — 27 Sep 2010
As hard as you might try, after watching The Poughkeepsie Tapes, you'll have this film stuck in your head for days. Although the 'fake documentary' formula has been tried and tested, this film is, by-far, the most realistic and genuine-feeling of the lot, giving you the sense that you're actually watching a real documentary on a real serial killer.
It's grim, gritty, fiercely intelligent, sick, harrowing, truly disturbing and genuinely terrifying. The best and most effective horror film of the decade!
