Review of The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) by Brett B — 02 Jan 2011
A very well-edited mockumentary, this film contains deeply unsettling imagery and subject matter. The brothers Dowdle have created a high degree of realism, and that is the reason this is such a difficult film to watch.
It would be hard for me to recommend this to anyone (because of how troubling it is), but it is unquestionably effective.
