Review of The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) by Jesse C — 30 Apr 2011
This movie is pretty damn interesting, they give the fake documentary style treatment to a series of tapes a serial killer has kept of his killings. They keep all of the gore and stuff on camera but still show enough of what's going on to leave you pretty disturbed.
The only thing that keeps it down is some bad acting, but the concept and the rest of the movies elements really just make me pretend in my head that the acting isn't bad out of just wanting to love this movie (which I do).
The same director would go on to direct Quarantine and Devil cementing forever me not giving a shit about him or what he will make in the future.....but at least he got one good one in...which makes him better than Uwe Boll.
....which isn't that hard....
