The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) C-122m. ? 1/2 D: Bob Rafelson. Jack Nicholson, Jessica Lange, John Colicos, Michael Lerner, John P. Ryan, Anjelica Huston. Explicit remake of classic 1946 film noir deals with drifter Nicholson who convinces pretty waitress to knock off her husband.
Nowhere near as exciting (or intriguing) as original, with Nicholson an unappealing main character, and sex scenes more violent than erotic. Extremely unpleasant.
