The Post is a well acted investigation drama about a current topic. Despite it being plausibly structured, Spielbergs latest never really catches the audience.
Very soon you start to compare that movie with other movies from the same kind, but The Post is no Spotlight though.
The Post, however, proves two things, one good, one bad. First, you only need Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg with his team and Meryl Streep to make a solid movie, even if they all do not do at their best. But second, and maybe more prominently, you shall never hurry to finish a movie just because it's politically relevant.
