The Post serves as a reminder of the integrity of the press and its freedom to constantly inform the people at any cost whatsoever, it offers an essential insight into the events that took place regarding the flawed decisions concerning the Vietnam war which led to the Watergate scandal, However, Spielberg focuses on the bravery of the press especially the Washington Post and the New York Times, He highlights this in a brilliant set of sequences that showcased the importance of the act, led by the gifted Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, the rather powerful ensemble cast succeed at embodying those key historical figures who revolutionized journalism for ever.

Once again, Spielberg along with his masterful cast created a polished film that's very enjoyable and informative, that's not a surprise considering Spielberg's mastery of his trade.
