I never really stopped believing that I was watching anything other than Hanks and Streep expose the flaws of the Nixon presidency but this is a solid history lesson with some entertaining flourishes (the homemade lemonade).
How much has been tweaked from real events to ratchet up the tension isn't clear but those tweaks are needed alright.
