Review of The Post (2017) by Dharma — 27 Jan 2018
The Post is Spielberg in his element, a warm up act in line for his next blockbuster, Ready Player One. It's obviously an Oscar grab for sure, but the master has made a somewhat surprising 'thriller' on this topic, what is essentially a 'newspaper' flick.
As per usual, Hanks and Streep are great, but not their best work here. Great film all around with a strong 'political commentary' relevant to the current situation in the US.
