Review of The Post (2017) by Frank W — 05 Jan 2018
Very disappointing -- I don't understand how this could get best picture consideration. This movie has such great actors but they show such little emotion. Tom Hanks does nothing interesting in the movie.
Meryl Streep somehow shows no emotion throughout her entire performance, and her character does a completely unexplained 180 degree turn towards the end of the movie. Julia Roberts has such a small part she isn't worth mentioning.
The only good thing about the movie was some cinematography when the show the newspaper being produced, other than that it was poor acting from highly acclaimed actors and fantasy time for liberals who think the press is going to take out the current president.
Poor movie all around.
