As most individuals assumed, I believed this film to be simply a machine mass-producing Oscar nominations and wins. I thought I would sit on my sofa viewing Streep and Hanks frolicking their Hollywood superiority.

However, I was proven incorrect by the generally strong performances by the leads and the well executed premise. The Post offers enjoyment for any demographic above adolescence that was either raised during this period or adore pictures on influential historical depictions.

My only complaint was that the opening felt fairly weak and unimaginative. I would've be more pleased with a more unique and mind-opening beginning to set the stage for an amazing film. Nevertheless, a wonderful picture that'll be added to my collection.
