GOVERNMENT BAD, JOURNALISTS GOOD. That sums up this movie which would otherwise have gotten 5 stars from me, because it was excellent in terms of drama. However, creating black and white characters that are Saints and The Devil is an insult to my intelligence, and should be to everyone else's.
Newspapers are for-profit enterprises with the number one goal of making money. This elemental fact was buried underneath a pile of cinematic Hollywood sentimentality. Sorry, Mr. Spielberg and Ms. Streep, I don't buy it.
