Review of The Possession (2012) by Leland B — 25 Jan 2013
The Possession is based off of the mythology of the dibuck, a Jewish demon that primarily prays on children and the dead. I still think the creepiest dibuck scene is that which is featured in A Serious Man by the Coen Brothers.
With that said, The Possession does have some creepy moments. No, it's not the modern day Exorcist that Hollywood would love to replicate the success of, but it's still a good modern day thriller and the acting is very good.
